Hello everyone!

When I received this month’s kit, I knew I had to do something with that piece of denim-style fabric, but I had no idea what.
Whilst I was journaling, I wanted to include the fabric as a pouch, but it just didn’t quite go with my style of page. So I had an idea. I wanted to create a removable pouch with the fabric strip.
I cut a longer piece of fabric, leaving a small piece behind. I then folded the edges in by around 3cm, and used the blue staples in the kit to hold them in place. Then I plugged in my hot glue gun to glue the leftover piece of fabric to the folded edges. This created the carcass of my denim fabric pouch!
I then used some wax thread to sew a button onto the middle, before covering up some of the rougher edges and staples with the blue ric-rac from the kit.
To finish off, I added some trimming and another button to the face.
I could use the pouch as a place to pin my pin badges to keep them safe also!

This came together really quickly – so quick I didn’t think it would turn out great so didn’t take step by step photos. I love the rough finish, edges and Y2K vibe! I am going to tuck this into one of my upcoming journal spreads for sure!
Take care!
