I am back after a bit of an unscheduled break. And I am back with a layout using the Downtown kit – which was just full of fun goodies to create with.
It was so good to get my craft on with this one – I haven’t made anything in a while, but this kit was just so easy to use. I started the page as usual with gesso and some colour. A nice bright yellow this time. I then added some stencilling using a stencil from my stash.
Lots and lots of splatters and some stamping finished this background off and I was then ready to start pulling my layout together.

I used paper bags and bits from past kits to create the mat for my picture. Then some of the die-cuts to decorate around the page. I also pulled a flare from my stash and cut some of the coffee cups from one of the papers to add to the clusters too.

I found a foam title in my stash too that worked with the black splatters that I had added to the background. I really love a good bold pop of black on a layout – it really makes everything pop!

Finally I used some of the stickers to frame my picture. I think that this finished the layout off really well. Like I said, this one came together so easily. The kit was so much fun to use and the colours really made me smile.
I will be back on the 23 October using the new ‘Gather Together’ kit.
See you all then xo
