I had big plans for my Christmas documenting this year but sometimes plans change.

I had picked a really lovely handmade journal for documenting December but unfortunately it didn’t arrive. So I went with plan B and chose an 8×8 Kraft scrapbook instead.

For my cover I used pieces from the “Winter Lodge” and Christmas kit and also bits from my stash.

I started off with different ribbons on the left hand side of the cover. For my background I chose a book page and layered half a doily on top. I cut the word “Christmas” and “2023” using dies from my stash and decorated with stickers from the kits and also a page tab from the Christmas kit.

On my first page I documented our first Christmas bake of the season.

My daughter wanted to bake a Christmas cake back in November.

I used a pretty snowflake paper bag as a big pocket in the background. I layered a Kraft envelope from my stash on top and used that as a pocket for my photo.

I also trimmed a little of off the page and attached Pom Pom trim to the edge.

I embellished with the cute journal card and stickers from the kit.

I am so happy with how my cover turned out and can’t wait to work in this book throughout December.

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!

Until next time…

Nadine xx
