Jumpers, cozy blankets , onesies and thick fluffy socks are now out and there was at some point where the  beanie hat and gloves had also made an appearance.

The weather is either cloudy ,  rainy or snowy !  The dark nights is something that I can definitely say affects my overall mood.    I am sure I am not the only one.

There are things that I do during Autumn that just makes me feel so cozy and helps lift my mood.  I realised that every year it changes.  So, this year , I wanted to document what are the things that I have been doing to make me feel cozy.

Let me tell you the first one… Journaling !  So , out comes my great big journal and I just love flicking through the pages and going through all those beautiful memories.  I also love adding new memories that I can look back on and reminisce the beautiful times.

There was a page in my journal that I thought would be great for my topic.  I also used the Cozy kit for this journal layout.  The colours  of this kit are just stunning!

First, I made use of the post card that Lisa sent me.  I backed it with the tissue paper that was included in the kit to make it stand out on the page.

I tore the edges of the tissue paper to add texture.

On the opposite of the page I started journaling all the activities that I have been doing to feel cozy.  There was already an image on the page where balloons should be flying.  Ive cut the photographs and glued them at the ends of the lines ( balloon strings) on the page.

The top things that I do to feel cozy are :

  1. Eating hearty meals – stews and soups are most go to for autumn.   Well, anything that as they say … “warms up the cockles”
  2. Drinking tea or hot chocolate
  3. Snuggling with my Poppy or hubby and Poppy.  Nothing like a good snuggle to keep you warm and toasty.
  4. Crochet and knitting – I feel that Autumn is the season for crochet and knitting.  I love it when you can put your project on your lap as it also keeps you warm whilst you are working on it. I also love making socks and jumpers.

I journaled on the sides of the photographs and used the arrow stickers to indicate which I am journaling about.

As you know , I also love using the title bit of the kit information.  So , I have fussy cut the images and used it to decorate the bottom of my page.

The other side of the age was looking a bit plain , so I have embellished it a bit using stickers and washi strips from the kit.

I love how this page has turned out.   It would be interesting if things change next year.

So , what are the cozy things that you do ? Do you also journal about them year after year ?  I would really love to know.

‘Till next time my dear friends.  Stay Warm and Cozy always…

Big crafty Hugs,

Sheryll
