Strawberries & Sunflower picking
Hello everyone and happy summer!
I knew exactly what I wanted to save this kit for – picking strawberries! Unfortunately the heatwave had other ideas, and we had to delay going until it was a bit cooler.
We had a lovely weekend off together this weekend, and decided, on the coolest of the heatwave days, to go strawberry picking at our local farm. They do PYO strawberries, wildflowers and sunflowers at £1 per stem.
We went for a lovely afternoon with Jack’s Mum and her husband and I knew i wanted to use this kit to document the day.

I had a piece of Cath Kidston letter paper with strawberries on that I have been hoarding for ages – today was the day I was gonna use it! I used that as a base, and layered up torn pieces of paper that came in the kit. I used the envelope in the top left of this page to hold two photos, and to give me a bit of extra journaling space inside if i needed it.
The tag that held the paper clip was used to back the photo strip into the glacene bag i used as a pocket at the bottom of the page. The photo strip has journalling on the reverse.
I really struggled to get started with this layout, but I am really happy with how it turned out!

The left hand page is where I separated the strawberry photos and the sun flower photos, but wanted to make the pages flow together as they were from the same trip. I used smaller pieces of the kit to pull them together. It took me a while but I think I managed quite well.
I am not a big sequin fan, so I carefully removed the tab from the bag of sequins to use and staple to my photo at the top.
Finishing off the pages quite nicely, I went in with some of the stickers and cut apart pieces to add some more layering and detail.
Let me know what you all did with your Strawberry Shortcake kits, I would really love to know.
Take care xx
