As I grew older , I seem to like a more quieter birthday celebration.

I just want to enjoy the ” Me time”.

This year, I spent my birthday with my family and 2 other friends from work.   Both of them are international nurses and haven’t really had the chance to go out and see places near us.

So , I treated them to a day out.  I wanted my birthday to be a day of sharing and appreciating my blessings.

We went to the Cheddar Gorge and Cave.  It is one of my favourite places.

I used the July kit – Country garden escape.  Although we didn’t really go to a garden , it was still an escape.

I also want to show how versatile the kits are.

As usual , I saved up a bit of ephemera – tickets, leaflets, gift wrapper and birthday cards.

The process …

After choosing a page ( or two) from my journal , I started gluing a piece of the gift wrapper ( from one my presents ) and the ticket from Cheddar Gorge.

I also used one of the floral pink envelopes  that was included in the kit to use a pocket.

One of my birthday cards had a birthday cupcake, so I have cut this out and also glued it to my page.

After choosing the photographs for my layout , I backed them with the pink paper that was included in the kit.

I then glued them on the page,  and have also used some of the pink label stickers from the kit and the smiley flower to decorate the page.

I also used the sentiment  from one of the birthday card as a  word decoration.

The rest of the photographs were glued to tags that I have created.

And I stapled a piece of ribbon at the tops of the tags.

I decorated the page more with the puffy stickers that was included in the kit.

The Finished pages

So, here is my  finished pages..

I enjoyed putting my journal page together.

It is very eclectic and perhaps random, but it reflected what day I had.

I love it!

I have been truly blessed with a lovely family , beautiful friends , lots of blessings and I couldn’t ask for more…

Till next time, lots of crafty hugs..
