Summer is almost ending and I realised that I have not taken Poppy to the beach!
We always have a beach day with Poppy as she absolutely loves swimming and digging the sand.
I work with 2 international Nurses and both of them have not been in many places in the UK.
So, we planned that on our next day off , I will take them to Durdle Door beach.
Durdle Door is one of my favourite places to visit. It is one of the beautiful places we have here in the UK.
The road trip would also be a good excuse to take Poppy to the beach.
She has impressed my colleagues how well behaved she is.
Sadly, I didn’t get to take a lot of photographs , but I have taken a few to include in my journal.
I have used the Road Trippin’ kit for my journal layout. I just love how the colours and the theme matches what I am going to journal about .
As usual , I start build up my background by gluing strips of the cut apart sheet that is included in the kit.
This sets the scene or tone of my pages.

Next , I cut my photographs and back them up with a decorative paper. It just makes them stand out on the page when I glue them in.
I have used the Cannon Selphy app to create a collage of my photos – there is a main photo and then 3 tiny photos that I cut out looking like a photo strip.

It is then I will start to build up my page but creating layers , using the sticky note that was included in the kit , washi tape and stickers.
I have also cut the journal card ( or sheet) from the Zine.

I used an old stencil to spell out Durdle door beach before writing out my journaling.
You probably noticed by now that I do not write much, but that is okay.
I just tend to write the important bits to describe the day, my feelings on that day or anything quirky that I want to remember.

Poppy has been really good despite the busy beach. I now know that she is not a great fan of pebbled beach.
She also had an ice cream treat on this day because she has been really good and has been very patient with me as I struggled to walk back up to the car park.
Overall, we had a lovely day and I am glad to be journaling about this adventure with Poppy.
Hope you all had a good summer and till next time lovely friends…
Lots of Crafty hugs, Sheryll
