Dino Party Journal: The Good Dinosaur.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well and have received your ‘Dino Party’ kit! It is such a niche kit this month, but thankfully I have the perfect idea. I have had a journal made from this book for quite some time, and when this kit was teased I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I had to use the kit to embellish the journal to pull it all together! I did this a few months ago with the ‘Alice’ kit – I had a little golden book of Alice in Wonderland and used the kit to decorate.

This double spread was one of my favourites – I didn’t want to cover the pages completely as I loved the background, so adding little layered journalling spots on both sides seemed an obvious choice whilst keeping the theme of the book running through.

The grid paper is so easy to use too. It creates a blank space with interest and room to layer stickers and ephemera on top too.

Adding the cut out journal cards from the zine is just a must for extra journalling space!

I love the bits and pieces Lisa finds for the kits each month since the revamp, it makes the kit so much more fun to play with and use in your projects. This paper clip was screaming for some mesh!

These huge paperclips are super cute, but SO heavy to add to a page. I saw Lisa staple hers to the pages so I did the same to make sure they don’t fall off! Got to save the Dinos!!

I love a good puffy sticker – they remind me of when I used to collect stickers as a child.

Of course everything in the kit is reusable, so I had to add the bag to blend the purples and greens of the pages in the book to the kit.

I even tore the letter from the box up and included that – everything can be used!

Below is the finished journal – I have had it sitting in a cupboard for nearly a year, I have held on to it for some reason and I am super glad I did as this kit was perfect to embellish this book. Let me know what you think!
