Today I have an autumnal themed mixed media art journal page for you!!

I love the colours of the kit! Autumn colours are my absolute fave and I really enjoyed playing with this colour palette!

To start, I wanted to create some texture on the page, so I slapped on some gesso and then promptly closed the pages and reopened them. This created a beautiful veiny texture with very little effort!

After the gesso dried, I applied some Distress crayons in Spiced Marmalade, Candied Apple, and Mustard Seed, then I activated the colours using water. I love how the crayons show off those veiny textures to look almost like leaf veins. This wasn’t my intention but I love the result!

I then cut up the leaves from one of the papers and stuck them down with Mod Podge.

After this, I got my glue gun and started making patterns with it. After that dried, I coloured over the top of the patterns with my Deco Color gold marker which gave them a lovely gilded look!

I added some of the leaf die-cuts, cut up some of the border paper and stuck that down onto the page. For the title, I took one of the stickers and backed it onto the jute ribbon. I then covered the sticker with Ranger Crackle Accents to make it stand out a bit more.

I then added some Prima Effects Paste in the colour Phoenix and slapped that onto the page.

Thank lovelies!

Much love,

Danielle
