Hi Lollipop friends,
I am super excited to show you my first project using the “Marrakesh” kit.
A little while ago I saw a scrapbook layout with a large heart cutout and that inspired me for my own double page layout in my 2023 scrapbook.
I used two of the papers to create my background. I wasn’t quite happy with the edges where the two papers overlapped and remembered this teal coloured tassel trim I’ve had sitting in my own stash for a while. It worked perfectly for covering the edges and added so much texture to my project.

I matted my photo onto some of the dark teal tissue paper and attached a tab I had sitting on my desk.

I build a little cluster on the other page to balance things out. I used one of the brown circle shaped label stickers (which I LOVE) and a piece from the cut apart card.
I also used some of the die cuts to embellish my layout.

At the end I was faced with a challenge…where was I gonna add my journaling? Well, I was left with a large empty space inside the heart cut out, perfect! I added my journaling with a white gel pen and also outlined the heart shape.
