Chloé here again today, with another project using February’s Rise and Shine kit here. This is a different sort of project for me, but I’ve been inspired by everybody in the facebook chat group for Lollipop Box! I’ve used February’s DIY kit to make a little tag mini book; and in the spirit of this month’s theme, it’s all about how I like to start my mornings well!

The DIY kit consisted of some tags and a rose gold ring; perfect to put a cute mini book together. I knew I wanted to add a little more bulk to it, so I started by tracing the tags onto some of the papers from the kit and cutting them out to create more “pages”. I also cut apart the postcard from Feb’s kit, and used these elements to make “pages” of different sizes and add some texture. I also used a few of the pieces as embellishments.

Here are some of the tags! You can see that I layered stickers, papers and cut-apart elements from the kit to create each “page”, and I also trimmed down some of the notepapers (from Katie Moody) to create journaling spots too. Each tag describes one element of my perfect morning, including a cup of tea before anyone else is awake, trying to practice gratefulness (I know it’s hard right now but sometimes it helps!), getting out in the sun before noon and being kind to myself if things aren’t going my way. I punched all the elements and added them to the ring, before tying the ribbon from the kit in a bow on the front for some added texture.
