Well, I didn’t expect to be wearing sunglasses and not need a jacket in October! Yes, it’s autumn!! I love this time of year; the colours are so pretty, warming mugs of hot chocolate, getting out all my cosy jumpers and scarves, walks where you kick up the leaves! But, you have to agree it has been unseasonably warm for this time of year!

Over on the Facebook Chat Group I posted images and instructions for how I made the leaves using the yellow card from the kit as the base along with touches of the gold leaf, how gorgeous is that? Those leaves were the starting point of this layout.

I used a piece of corrugated wrapping from around a posh wine bottle across the top of my page, added some twine and a scrappy tie cut from the cream trim included in the kit. I then tucked in various slivers of paper and arranged the leaves in a cascade coming down the page. I also popped in leaves cut from one of the papers for added variety as well as some of the die cuts.

I mounted my photo on a tag cut from one of the papers, added the rose gold clip, more of the cream trim and the heart die cut.

There were so many options when it came to embellishing my layout it was hard to choose! I just had to pop in the Cuddle Weather flair from Dotty About Flair! I used some of the die cuts, Mrs Brimbles stickers and I chose to include some of the painted mushrooms I’d created in Fodder School this month to add to the Autumn vibe, (I posted more pics of those in the FB Chat Group). Of course I had to pop in a few twists of gold thread!

I love all the texture and layers and whilst there may not have been lots of leaves to crunch through where I was by the coast, this layout reminds me of our Autumn break!
