Happy Autumn folks!
The clocks have gone back, its cosy, dark evenings and rather than letting the season affected disorder win, I wanted to channel some cosiness into my journal this week.
We had a lollipop Patreon crafternoon a couple of days ago and I really enjoyed it. Lisa created some challenges and ‘recipe’ prompts to spark inspiration and for us to create pages from thinking outside of the box a little bit. This is the outcome of my P is for Pumpkin challenge, where Lisa challenged us to create a page using 6 things beginning with P.
I used:
Photos – I had a lot of photos from this day
Paper – obvious easy one – lots of autumnal and natural colours to break up the page
Pockets – included in the kit were two brown pockets, I trimmed them down so they could both be smaller and fit on the page to hide journalling and photos
Paperclip – always an easy one to add texture and depth to a page
Parking ticket receipt – we all love some ephemera don’t we?!
Packaging – I used some old backing paper from a packet of stickers I had in my junk box. It was actually the grey floral patterned card stock you can see on the left hand page – from some Christmas stickers, but you could never tell – they look very Autumnal to me!
I also realised I used Printable and Punched item (gold heart) too, so 8 Ps! It just shows you the amount of stuff you can use up!

Do you enjoy crafty challenges? I am very hit and miss, and it depends what the challenge involves. Sometimes I need that spark to lift me and push me to do something different, other times I get overwhelmed and just want to document the day with no pressure. This little challenge worked a treat and I am so happy with how the pages turned out.

Has anyone created with their October kit yet? Let me know what you’ve made!
