Creating Happy Mail With Guest Designer Beccy

.

.

Hello Lollipops Friends!

.

Beccy here with my first guest designer project using this months January Kit “snailmail”. Can I just say how cute is this months kit? I just love the colours and the caricatures in the kit.

.

If you follow my Instagram (@boo_tin_) you will see that I mainly craft Happymail, so this month’s kit is perfect for me! When I send happymail to my penpals and swap partners I always like to include handmade embellishments.

.

The first embellishments I made using this month’s kit are some vellum shaker tags.  All I did was trace a tag that I already had in my stash on the pattern paper included in the kit, and then cut it out with my scissors. Then I stitched some vellum paper on top of the tag and added some sequins. I absolutely love making shakers, so I knew I had to make one using this months kit. Then I embellished the tags using the stickers, cut apart sheet, bling stickers and added the trim included in the kit on the top.

The next set of embellishments I made are polaroid shakers. (Again, another shaker haha!) I did use a polaroid cutting die from Rosie’s studio, but you can use any polaroid frame to make these. I decorated using the stickers from Mrs Brimble’s and die cut out some leaf’s using gold glitter paper.

The final set of embellishments I’ve made are some mini envelopes. I had some mini envelopes in my craft stash which I bought in the bridal section in Hobbycraft. You can also make mini envelopes using the WR Memory Keepers envelope punch board. All I did was matt the envelopes with my left-over scrap pieces from the papers included in the kit. I also used the notepad paper included in the kit for the inside of the envelope. Then I decorated using the snail die cuts (which are so cute!!).

Using this month’s kit, I also created a card. Perfect for writing your message to your friends, pen
pals and swap partners. All I did was tare three different pattern papers from the kit for the
background of the card and added some stitching. I added a doilie and used my circle nesting die to
make a circle shaker. Then I had fun embellishing the card with all the fun goodies in the kit.

I hope you like what I created, and I hope this inspired you with ideas on how to use this months kit.
