DIY Nature Mini Book – Document Your Walks – with video

.

How are you enjoying your walks right now?

We have a little dog, so we are used to our daily walks. We tend to take shorter street walks during the week and longer walks at the weekend.

We are so lucky where we live. We live just a few minutes away from a massive commonland. There are many different directions we can take. There are ponds, woodland, disused runway, open spaces, it’s just all so beautiful.

We are finding that as much as we’ve always loved it, we are fully appreciating it all right now. It really feels like we escape .

I thought it would be fun to make a mini book to document our special walks.

I’ve used the current ‘Secret Garden’ kit.

And there’s a full process video with lots of tips here.

I used the stamps and the fabric from the kit to tie up the book.

I also share some DIY tips on how to create really easy watercolour flowers.

These are so easy and once dry you can cut them out and use as embellishments.

They look really sweet added to the pages.

You will also see in the video how I create these pages.

I collected a few little flowers to use on my book. I took a few yellow petals. They are everywhere on the commonaldn at the moment. I popped a few in the glassine bag from the kit.

I also took some weeds from the garden here and added to my page with a little washi to hold it in place

I had so much fun creating these mini book and filling it with happy Spring 2020 memories.

I hope it inspires you to document your walks too.

Enjoy the video.

Lots of love
