Here’s my first project using the Downtown kit. I’ve chosen to focus on abit of a monochomatic effect with this layout choosing the black, white and yellow colours in the kit. I think it makes for a really striking layout.
The subscriber card in the kit was my inspiration for this layout including the colour scheme. The quote on the postcard really does signify the way we travel on our trips around the world.
I created a yellow background using Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide and a geotag stencil from Peartree Cutfiles.
I love this cute little tag from the kit, I added it ‘dangling’ from the embellishment cluster at the top of the photos.
I used the patterned paper words, stickers and die cuts to create clusters of embellishment at the top & bottom of the photos and also at the corner of the postcard.
These cute wooden cameras are great for adding different textures. I finished the layout with splatters of black paint and yellow nuvo drops.
