Hopes & Dreams DIY Embellishments with Beccy

Hello Lollipop Friends!
First off can we just appreciate how beautiful the Hopes and Dreams kit is! I absolutely fell in love
with the pastel colours and had given me all the spring vibes. The kit is here.
For this month’s project I decided to make an acetate tote bag. This project will be perfect for happy
mail or as a gift for a friend or loved one. You can fill the bag with anything you like. I decided to fill
mine with handmade embellishments.
I mainly decorated the front of the tote with the die cuts and stickers. I did make a miniature rosette
to add extra dimension.

For the inside of my tote bag, I made some embellishments and a mini clipboard. I decorated the
two tags from the treat bag by adding paper ruffles which I made from the pattern strip paper. Then
I added the pink heart stickers and word stickers from the Mrs Brimbles sticker sheet and finished it
off with some gems and ribbon from the kit.
Using a die from my stash I made a shaker rainbow, which I thought went so perfectly for this kit. I
made a purple sequin mix to match the colours and decorated with all the die cuts and stickers. I
even added the buttons where I would normally use gems.

I made a clipboard to hold some of the embellishments and I added the beautiful pink flower charm
from the kit. I even tied a bow using what I had left from the ribbon.
The last set of embellishments I have made are some fringe hearts. I used a basic heart shape cutting
die, which I cut out three times. Then I cut two of those hearts in half and cut some fringe lines with
my scissors. Then I glue it down on the heart that hasn’t been cut and add some stitching. I kept the
decoration simple by just using a few die cuts and the left-over buttons.

I really hope that you like what I made with the Hopes and Dreams kit and will have just as much fun
creating with it as I have. Until next time,

Beccy
