Mini Album “Sweet One”

Hello Lollipop friends,

I am so excited to show you my first project using the „Hello Gorgeous“ kit.

As soon as the kit arrived and I had a good look through all the stunning goodies, I knew I wanted to use it to document this years Valentine’s Day with my daughter.

Mini albums are my favourite thing to create so I couldn’t help myself once again this time.

I was inspired by a tutorial from Pinkstrawberryz on YouTube. It’s a simple album using cardstock only, no grey board required.

I used a 12×12 sheet of paper that matches the colours in the kit to create the base of the album.

The front cover features a gorgeous shaker window that I filled with the sequin mix from the kit.

I also added a heart shaped rosette that I created using a die from my stash.

For my pages I chose papers from the kit that are nondirectional. I simple folded them in half, leaving just a small tab on the side. The tab then is attached to the inside spine. Super easy and a great way to put a little book together. No sewing and complicated scoring required at all.

My photos happened to match the colour scheme perfectly but I wanted a matting layer to make my colourful photos stand out from the background.

I had recently purchased a few new dies and one of them was a rectangle die with a decorative edge. It was a perfect size for my album and I cut one for each of my photos from a stronger vellum paper. The edges naturally curled up a little bit which adds a gorgeous texture to each page.

I also used another new die that cuts the words “Love You Lots”. This also fits perfectly on the pages. I cut it from one of the papers in the kit.

I used the stickers and die cuts from the kit to embellish the whole album.

I absolutely love how it turned out. The colours make me so happy!

I hope I was able to inspire you today.

Have a fabulous day!

Nadine xx
