My World Scrapbook Page by Terri

Here is my second project using the My Small World kit, the new One Fine Day kit has just landed on my doorstep and I can’t wait to see what creativity it sparks. You can still pick up the My Small World kit over on Lollipop Box Club. The colours in this month’s box were beautiful bright and vibrant which pairs perfectly with a black and white photograph as I have done in this layout.

I started with a white cardstock background and added Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber through the Peartree Cutfiles house stencil and mask from the kit. I focused all my design down the lefthand side of the page to leave a large area of white space.

Once I was happy with the stencilling I added strips cut from the stripey patterned paper in areas overlapping the mixed media areas. I secured these with some machine stitching in a turquoise blue thread.

I created a photo and embellishment cluster using the decorated tag, tickets and stickers from the kit. The globe was fussy cut from the cut apart sheet. I used the Mrs Brimbles ‘My World’ sticker as the title for my page.

The diecuts and stickers in this kit leant themselves to creating little scenes on my page so I used the houses, kits and clouds to create these in gaps between the strips of paper. I added the triangle stickers below to create bunting on the page.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today, I will be back later in the month with my first project using the One Fine Day kit, you can subscribe to this here.

Happy Crafting!
