Hello friends !  Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

I had a lovely break from all the studying – even if it is just a few hours each day.

Our Easter started with our dog – Poppy’s Birthday.  She is eight years old this year.

My daughter also came home for the easter holiday which was lovely.

The weather was not too bad and we had sunny days.

The March Lollipop box club kit – Celebrate Spring was so pretty with all the spring colours and theme.

I thought that it would be lovely to use in my journal spread.

I was also getting some fabric ready for a swap and found some lovely ones that I decided to make into fabric washi  tapes that I could use in this spread.

So, how did you make the fabric washi tapes , I hear?

All you need a double sided tape , fabric and scissors.

Lay the fabric right side facing up , and wrong side to the sticky side of the tape – I hope that makes sense..

That is all you need to do !

Smooth the fabric out and make sure there is no wrinkles.

Once I  have done this to all the fabric I wanted to turn into Washi, I  then cut them into different widths. Some thin and some wide.

Viola!  I have just created fabric each tapes ! I just love it!

I’m ready to use them in my spread…

I tried to print a photograph of Poppy and it came out unfinished.

Rather than discarding it, I decide to still use it , but I have fuse cut it out.

I then glued this on to the right side of the journal page.

On the other side of the page, I glued one of the kit papers.

I had other photos and I backed this with the paper off cut from the larger photo of Poppy.

The white background will make it stand out in the very green back ground.

I also made a pocket for the cage so that I could tuck my journaling in.

Using one of the kit papers, I folded the paper into triangle once  and then folder it again and glued one side to make a triangular pocket which will fit perfectly into a corner of the page.

I’ve cut the corners and inked the sides and collaged on the pocket using a piece of the vintage paper , a piece of the fabric washi , one of the sticker and pearls dots.

It turned out just as I imagined it !  I even made a collaged note card that I could tuck into the pocket and use for journaling.

I glued the photos on the left hadn’t side of the page and have decorated them using the alpha stickers , elements from the washi strip sheet and my fabric washi tape.

This page just makes me so happy!  It is just so cheerful to look at.

I journal on the page as well as the note card that I made.

I also cut out the journal card from the zine and backed it with one of the kit papers.

It will be another place that I can journal on.

This journal page turned out better than I expected !  Green is not really my colour , but I love this one!

I hope that this blogpost has inspired you and perhaps the little crafty make will do too.

If you do make some fabric washi tapes, I would love to see them ! Don’t forget to share them in the Facebook group.

Happy crafting !

Lots of Crafty Hugs, Sheryll
