My first project with this month’s Gather Together kit is an art journal page. I’ve been in abit of an arty mood recently so my paints and stencils have been getting a work out.
I created this page on a hessian page in my Dina Wakley journal. I first added shimmery orange acrylic paint directly on to the hessian through a Peartree Cutfiles pumpkin stencil.
I created an ombre background on a piece of kraft cardstock using watercolour paint that I then sprinkled with salt crystals to create a texture effect. I then backed this with the orange polka dot patterned paper from the kit and machine stitched them together.
I created a cluster of embellishments in the bottom left corner. I used the cute bunny diecut, fabric leaves, stickers and cut aparts from the Gather Together kit.
How cute is this little pumkin that I fussy cut from the cut apart sheet?!
I added the card to a piece of book paper from my stash and the orange ribbon from the kit. I cut a fish tail in the bottom of the ribbon and folded the top to create a loop.
I finished off the page with splatters of both gold and black acrylic ink.
