Cookie Love by Emma Kate

Hey Lollipoppers, here to share this Travellers Notebook layout with you today using this months Lollipop sketch (found in the kit zine) as my inspiration. I made the heart the star of the show using lots of the lovely kit pattern papers.

I began by covering both pages of my notebook with the stamp pattern paper, the black & white background is going to help the coloured elements of my spread to really pop. Next I cut a ‘heart’ cardstock base, then using some boarder punches I created a handful of strips which I adhered to my heart, starting from the bottom so I could over lap each strip.

I then decided on the placement of my heart & photo’s so I could then add my title. I used some blue alpha’s from my own stash & the large ephemera word  ‘love’ from the kit thus creating ‘Cookie Love’.

I stamped out my journalling but it got lost in the background so I decided to mount each strip onto the blue paper, it also helped to create balance within my spread by introducing blue to the left hand page. To finish I added a sprinkling of tiny hearts which were the negative pieces of one of my boarder punches.
