Hello everyone! Happy August (!) Where is 2025 going? I feel like we are on a steam train heading towards December already.

This month’s kit was another stunner wasn’t it? I really enjoy unboxing my kit every month to share with you all what I’ve created.

This project is something a little different from me – I decided to use up my scraps from the kit box and some scraps from my own supplies that have been sitting in a box on my desk for months. Partly because we are about to empty my craft room in anticipation for the new furniture being fitted at the weekend! So excited! Me and Jack are going to have a shared hobby space, where we both have our own L shaped desk to work on our projects but we can share the same space. I am so excited to decorate the shelves and display units we have picked. We have spent a few days measuring things up to get the perfect set up, and I can’t wait to share it with you! First: Cherish the little things in life

This card has lots of layers, starting with the tissue paper on the playing card, then some scrap book paper, added some of the washi strip scrap papers, and decorated with some of the puffy stickers and the bee. I picked out some other floral transparent stickers to add just to layer up and add depth.

Number 2: Embrace the Power of Dreams

Another tissue paper scrap for the base layer, followed by torn pieces of the washi strip papers and the embellishment postcard. Finished off with the puffy stickers and some word stickers I had in my basket.

Number 3: to plant a garden is to dream of tomorrow

I made this one to keep for when we eventually get around to renovating the back garden. I want to document that in an entire journal of its own. Base layer of tissue paper, followed by a piece of notebook paper, and the washi strip papers. Finished off with some embellishment postcard wording and the puffy stickers.

Number 4: Let go, be still, start a new

This one I like because you can still see the playing card number on the side, which contributes to that first layer. The book page is the next layer, added with some more washi strip papers and stickers on top.

Number 5: Plan – our garden

Again this one is going to be stashed away for when we renovate the garden, I am going to use this to document the plans we have for it.

Here I used up the leftover A5 cardstock, tissue paper and some other scraps that I have in my basket.

This type of project is so good to do, it is a great way to use up leftovers and create journalling cards or ATCs to trade with pen pals. Give it a go, especially if you have got an old pack of cards lying around somewhere with cards missing! Let me know in the comments or on instagram what you created with this months kit.
