Last month, I met up with Lisa and a few others from the Lollipopboxclub patreon peeps.

We went to the On paper Festival in Bath.

It was my first time! Although I think I knew what I am expecting , it still was a lovely surprise to see the different paper related things made by different artist that I haven’t come across yet.

I have used some bits and pieces from the Summer Lovin’ kit along with the different ephemera that I have collected on the day to create my journal page.

The Story…

There were lots to see and lots of people at the fest !

We did the stamp rally and we were all given a booklet to use to collect all the stamps from the different exhibitors, it was good fun!

Doing the stamp rally allows you to look at the different things each exhibitor has to offer, which I think was a good idea.

After a good browse ( and shop)  at the fest, we all went to get our lunches and decided to go to a nearby park to sit, eat and chat.

We shared lots of stories and thoughts – we even thought about how the birds communicate when they fly together and dance (murmuration).  We had a good giggle about this.

Have you witnessed this beautiful natural phenomenon?

Not only that we shared stories , we also shared our hauls with each other and little bits and pieces that we could use in our journaling or crafting.

We then wrote on each other’s postcards and send them all to ourselves. – It was a lovely surprise (even though you know it’s coming) to receive.

It was a very warm summer day with friends and we all had great fun just spending time with each other and sharing thoughts, laughter and stories.

My haul..

I got mesmerised by the lovely pink flower bag and I also did a make your own fountain pen and also purchased ink refills and postcards.

I was told that the pen was glow in the dark – but I haven’t tested it. So, we shall see!

There were lots of goodies that I could have bought , but I have been good and only bought a few items.

How I put my pages together…

On the right hand side of the page , I covered the page with one of the paper from the kit as it was so flimsy.

As usual, I backed my photos (with white paper this time).

I used all the ephemera that I collected at the fest and  the stickers (and bits and bobs ) that I was gifted on the day to decorate my page.

This one is my favourite..

This was an info card from the cafe that we got our sandwiches from. Isn’t it beautiful?

The heart , was from another info card that I cut into a heart shape – the print is just beautiful !

I tucked the postcard ( that I sent to myself) on the pocket along with the journal card that I journaled on the pocket.

I then created a decorative paperclip using the big paperclip and tulle in the kit to clip the tag from my bag.

It’s so cute peeking out at the top of my journal.

And here are  the finished pages..

Reflections …

The day rejuvenated me as it has given me a day that I am not just focusing on coursework.

I soon realised that those little moments spent with friends and doing something else helps with my motivation to continue with coursework after.  It is just what I needed!

Allowing myself to have fun has definitely helped with my well being at the time that I am so stressed.

How about you ?  what do you do to help your well being when your stressed?

That’s it from me for now friends…

‘Till next time..

Lots of Crafty Hugs, Sheryll
