I wanted a mixed media background for my page so I firstly prep my page with gesso, once this was completely dry I used a chevron stencil & modelling paste to echo the pattern paper & to give my layout texture. I then fussy cut the chevrons from the patterned paper & arranged them either side of my photo, overlapping them in places & using foam tape to add depth. I also layered my photo with the various papers in the kit along with the tag.

To finish, I added my title, typed journaling, word stickers & those cute ephemera corners to my photo. Chevrons are a really great shape to use in memory keeping, it allows you to draw the viewers eye & attention to the main subject, it just screams ‘look at me!’
