Afternoon Tea Scrapbook Layout by Terri Smith

I’m loving playing with the July One Fine Day kit, perfects for documenting those cups of tea, whether that be the perfect cuppa at home or an outing for a lush afternoon tea. I’ve created this layout to document the aternoon tea had for lunch at a recent GoGo Getaway scrapbooking retreat.

I used the ribbon to create a faux cross stitch pattern ‘holding’ the two pieces of patterned paper together. There wasn’t enough thread to stitch it so I cut it at the back of the layout and stick it down with tape. You can see the cute key charm in the photo below that I tied to the little teabag.

I cut out a few of the little doilies from the Chapter VIII sheet and tucked them under the photos to begin to create areas for embellishment clusters.

I created clusters of embellishment with the stickers from Mrs Brimbles in the kit, die cut teacups and also cut out phrases from the patterned papers. I used the kraft sticker on top of a fussy cut doilie to create a journalling spot.
