Afternoon Tea Using Your Kit With Becky

.

.

Hello Lollipop Friends!
I hope you are all doing well and that you’re enjoying the sunshine.
Today I am on the blog to show you what I have created using the June kit, One Fine Day.
I don’t know about you, but I love afternoon tea, or going out for a coffee. I absolutely love this
month theme and knew what to create straight away.

.

.

I have made a 3D teacup and inside I made tea bag sequin embellishments, which I have a tutorial
for you guys on how to make them, so keep reading. To make the tea cup I used a die from
AliExpress and used the pretty cardstock papers included in this months kit.

.

.

To make the teabags you will need a piece of vellum paper that measure 3 ½ inches by 6 inches.

.

.

On the 6 inch side you’ll need to score at 2 ½ , 3 and 3 ½ inches.

.

.

Then on the 3 ½ inch side you’ll need to score at 1 inch and 2 ½ inches.

.

.

Fold along the two long score lines until it looks like this.

.

.

Add some double-sided sticky tape (or any adhesive of your choice) on the one side and stick
together.

.

.

Then fold the remaining three score lines. You want to fold those score lines into a W shape
(accordion fold), as seen in the picture above.

.

.

You will then have two pockets. Fill both with the sequin mix of your choosing. You don’t have to
add sequins, you could add anything you’d like and then your pen pal, swap partner, friend, family
member can tear open the tea bag to find a little surprise inside.

.

.

Fold the top two sides of the tea bag into this shape as seen in the Picture above.

.

.

To close the tea bag, grab your stapler and staple the top shut. There you have your completed tea
bag ready to decorate.

.

.

To decorate my tea bags, I used the die cuts and stickers from the kit. I also added some gold thread
to add a little texture. You could even staple some twine on your tea bag to give it more of that
traditional tea bag look.

.

.

You don’t have to use vellum paper to make the tea bags. I also used the beautiful floral tissue paper
that was included in the kit to give my tea bag a soft, delicate look.
I really hope you enjoyed what I created and will give these tea bags a go. I hope this blog post has
given you some inspiration on how to use this month’s kit.
Until next time,
Beccy x
