BBC Basic – By Amy

Hello, Amy here on the blog today sharing with you a 12×12 layout creation using June’s Lollipop kit called “Let’s Escape“.

I took inpiration from the book cover in my photo and decided to create a grid layout of lots of small squares. I cut up some of the blue, green and yellow papers into 1 inch squares and then stuck them in a grid onto white cardstock.

I backed my 3×4″ photo onto a piece of the blue and white striped paper bag packaging and then layered that onto top of the popcorn bag. I also added the library tag and library card either side of my photo. I added the lime green twine to the tag.

I had fun adding stickers and die cuts to this central area to add lots of details and embellish the page. I went with using all the book themed pieces as well as lots of the weekend words.

As a subtitle I added the two blue word stickers ‘weekend’ and ‘getaway’. I added the red geotag die cut and then wrote where the photo was taken.

I hand wrote my journalling onto the lines of the library card to tell the story behind the photo. It’s the type of page that needs some journalling to explain the photo!

I added the June sticker, then added some numbers from my own stash to complete the date. I also added the title from thickers from my own stash and then added the two plant stickers because the colours worked well. To frame the layout I added small stripes of the same patterned papers to the bottom of my page.

Thanks for coming to take a closer look at my layout. I hope its inspired you to get creative with your June kit,

Take Care,

Amy -x-
