I’ve received some happy mail recently from friends and had wanted to make some bits to send in return. I’ve called these mixed media tags but that’s being generous! They’re made up with lots of different layers and textures but I don’t use anything fancy!

The tags are ones I’ve taken out of kits and they all had a stamped image on them or some writing but it was fine because I knew I was going to cover them.  I started with a layer of white paint and once it was dry added the colours ontop. Like Lisa I just use an old card to spread it around. I looked out some stencils and used some texture paste to add another layer to them all!

I used paint, texture paste, tissue paper, stamps and ink, doilies, papers, die cuts, lace trim, staples and some paint pens…each thing adds another place of interest, another texture.
