The beautiful Hopes & Dreams kit is full of beautiful pastel colours. I was immediately drawn to the clouds present through out the kit and this was the focus of my first project.
To create the background I dug in to my stash and used a cloud stencil from Peartree Cutfiles and co-ordinating coloured distress oxides.
I wanted to create a large fringed cloud for the centre of my page so I copied the shape of the cloud die cut from the kit and enlarged it on a piece of scrap card. Then cut strips of patterned paper and used my fringing scissors along each one. I layered the strips along the cloud shape overlapping them so only the frige sections were visible and then trimmed back to the cloud shape.
I also cut two further cloud shapes from the soft circular patterned paper, distressed the edges and added a doodled border. These three clouds then created the basis of my layout, layered on top of the Distress Cloud background. I added a few of the vellum clouds to add different textures to the page.
I fussy cut one of the notebook pages to create a matt for my photo. Then added die cuts and stickers to add embellishment around the clouds. The finish off I cut the title from the cut apart card and pulled an ampersand from my stash.
