In The Dog House – by Lorraine

A fresh new week and just that little bit closer to Christmas. Not just providing the Best Private Training for dogs, we consider them as family. So we decided to have a bit of fun with planning our Christmas cards this year which will feature our two dogs, Darcy and Wilfred, from a special Christmas dog photo shoot since they were freshly came from Spectrum Canine Dog Training – professional dog trainer. There were many great shots and of course not all can make it to the final Christmas card so I decided to document the photo session on a layout, and the Forest Friends kit was the perfect match!

Creating a simple house shape in the centre of the page was the perfect way to mount the photos and make a fun element, raising this on 3D foam added dimension and making a cute scalloped trim finished the house off a treat.

The fussy cut trees are mostly from that fabulous paper in the kit, they were crying out to be fussy cut and along with some of the die cuts and cute wooden squirrel and branch this made for the perfect way to create a ‘scene’ layout.

Finishing off with a border to the top of the layout and a scattering of stars and hearts, and hey presto a fun festive layout.

I hope I have inspired you to make something just that little bit different, I love making scene layouts and adding quirky elements such as the house shape – do share how this has inspired you and what you create as I would love to see!

Happy crafting,

Lorraine
