Into The Woods – by Amy

Hello, It’s Amy here today sharing my very first Creative Team project with you. I have used the Forest Friends kit to create an autumnal 12×12 scrapbook layout. The kit is so perfect for both autumnal layouts or Christmas layouts. I will be back next month to share a Christmas 12×12 scrapbook layout!

I started by fussy cutting all the beautiful elements from the collage sheet, which was designed by My Green Cow. Whilst I had my scissors out, I also fussy cut the patterned paper that has lots of vintage labels on.  I matted a square photo with the Kraft striped patterned paper from the kit. Behind my photo, which I placed in the middle of the layout, I layered some of the labels and one of the red heart doilies. Then I had lots of fun placing all the collage sheet pieces on to the layout, following a rough diagonal direction from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.

I added stripes of two patterned papers to the top and bottom of my layout. I find that although the patterned papers are smaller than 12×12, its very easy to just join pieces up and the seam is hardly visible. By tearing these stripes, it adds texture to the page.  Next I added my title below my photo. I added a cluster in the top right corner to balance the design. For this cluster I used a fussy cut leaf and the green ‘love this’ die cut. I then added some of the little phrase stickers and some of the label stickers too.

I finished off the layout with a scattering of the green dot stickers and a splattering of black ink.
