Hey Lollipop friends, I’m here to share my star-tastic 12×12 layout with you today using the “Time To Shine” kit. As soon as I opened the kit I was drawn to all the stars so I just embraced them & went all out, star crazy!
I began by creating a base for my stars to appear from using the letter patterned paper & a strip of red card, then using all the other patterned paper within the kit I cut out & punched numerous stars. I then arranged them in a diagonal across my page & once I was happy with my placement I adhered them using glue & foam pads, I also hand stitched a couple of stars in 6 strand embroidery thread.
Next mounted my photo with the off cuts of the patterned paper & raised it up slightly using foam pads. I then added the title using the large die-cut “Shine”, “It’s Time” sticker from the Mrs Brimbles sticker sheet & the “To” from the mini alpha sticker sheet.
To finish I added lots of the gold star stickers, a sprinkling of gold star sequins & my journalling just below my photo. Taking a basic shape & repeating it is a great, simple & effective way to create a layout, whether its 12×12, a journal page or any other format, its such a versatile technique, why not give it a try!
