When I saw the theme and pictures of this ‘Once Upon A Time kit’ here, I knew straight away that I wanted to create a mini storybook. Going to the Harry Potter studios is something I’ve been wanting to do ever since it opened a few years ago so couldn’t wait to start documenting the day.

I started by selecting some photos which show the highlights of the day and wrote the story to accompany them. We were all very excited and one of my favourite photos is of when we first saw the studios as there were several squeals in the car and I managed to drop the contents of my bag all over the car floor!

I printed my photos as 4×4 square size and made the pages using the kit papers. The pages are slightly bigger than the photos to allow space for the story and embellishments (I always love the die cuts). The cover was made from a piece of plain blue cardstock which I added to with a picture of Hogwarts and items from the kit.

Once I’d created each page, I used eyelets and ring binder clips to bind the book together. I also added the pink lace to secure the book when it’s closed. I added final touches such as sparkly gems, a gold key and the rainbow charm.

Lastly, so that the story can be seen in itself entirety, I’ve created a short video showing the story on the pages.

I had lots of fun putting the storybook together and it’s been a great reminder of the day. I hope you like my book and you are enjoying this months kit,
