Good morning Lollipops

I am back again with the “Hello Gorgeous” kit today and have a 12×12 mixed media layout for you all.  I love this layout! Cherries are a favourite of mine, there are definitely not enough cherries in scrapbooking supplies as far as I’m concerned!

This page was kicked off by stencilling the cherries onto the background using different shades of pink and red. I wanted to create a mixed media page but also to keep it looking quite light and airy so I tore strips of all the papers in the kit and then used them to make a really loose weave on the page.

To keep the layering around the picture really simple, I used two bags from this months kit and last folded up behind the picture, along with a glassine bag and the pink and blue spotty paper.  I finished it off with the super cute pin clip.  To add dimension I stuck some pop dots behind all the layers.

Using the stickers and die cuts to embellish the layout, I decided that I really liked the black lines that were around the stickers. I added these to the die cuts and also made the blue on the hearts darker using a Copic marker. Don’t be afraid to change up your embellishments if you want to! As Lisa says – it’s only paper!

To finish up I grabbed the sparkly dots from last months kit that I hadn’t used and a few more word strips from this kit and past kits and added them onto the layout.  A few splatters of black ink and I was done!

I have really enjoyed working with the kit this month – the colours are just gorgeous and it was so bright and fun!

See you all soon!

Carrie xo
