Scrapbooking – 3 Of A Kind with Philippa

.

Hi Lollipop lovers!

Here is my last blog post using the Rise & Shine kit here and I’m sharing a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout in gorgeous pastel, muted colours.

I wanted to use an adorable photo of three young sisters who are my eldest daughter’s favourite little people! To be honest they are not really ‘pastel’ girls,

their matching PJs are in a strong mustard yellow hence the B & W photo!

I started by using the bag technique to lay down some Shimmerz paint in complimentary colours on white cardstock. I layered strips of torn bag paper and scraps down the centre of my page. Inspired by the post card in the kit I decided to add some twine from which to hang the photo and some tags.

Using the glassine bag which is similar to vellum and an intricate die I cut some butterflies. So that the delicate shapes would be seen I cut solid backings in pinks, yellow, and blues using the scraps I had left from the kit.

The rainbow stamp from last months kit was perfect to match the motif on the duvet colour!

Having mounted the photo I just kept layering using bits and pieces from the kit, the daisy border pattern was cut with a border punch.

I added some bobble trim, a few petite Bramble Fox stars and the navy alphas for my title.

The white cardstock is mounted on pastel yellow and the edges roughed up for added texture.

Hope you are all enjoying your kits, I’ve loved playing with mine and am excited for the March kit!

Happy creating!
