Stamping Backgrounds – Scrapbooking with Emma Kate

.

Hey Lollipop friends, my absolute favourite paper in the ‘Hello Friend’ kit here was the stamp paper, it was full of all my favourite colours & it was crying out to be fussy cut. One of the stamp images had the words ‘Miss You’ on it so that’s when I decided to create a layout documenting missing my bestie.

I began by choosing a coloured background cardstock that would compliment the colour palette of the stamp paper, I then coated some of my cardstock with white gesso blending the edges out with my finger. Once it was completely dry I used a number of distress oxide sprays & the packaging technique to give my background some colour.

Next, using the ‘Happy Mail’ stamp & the same coloured distress ink pads as the sprays I previously used I stamped all over my mixed media, using first, second & third generation stamping to create depth to my page. I then arranged my fussy cut stamps & photo onto my layout & once I was happy with the positioning I adhered them down using wet glue.

To finish, I added my title using white foam alpha stickers, splatters of white acrylic ink, & a sprinkling of sequins. I don’t know about you guys but there are so many people I am missing right now & it was nice to scrapbook about a person that means so much to me, so perhaps give it a go, it may just put a smile on your face like it did mine,

Much Love
