Tea for Two – Scrapbooking with Guest Designer Terri

Hi everyone, My name is Terri Morris (@terri_scaps on Instagram), I’m part of the Bamble Fox Design Team and I’m so excited to be Guest Designing with the Alice’s Tea Party box this month.

This box is full to the brim with goodies and worked perfectly with my love of baking. It gave me some great ideas. My partner has been working from home but was having a few days off so I decided to make us afternoon tea as a little treat. The weather was so nice so we managed to have it outside in the sunshine.

For my first project I made a 12×12 inch scrapbook layout. The starting point for this page was to add some mixed media to the background. I used Distress Ink Spun Sugar via a blending tool through the Bramble Fox stencil. I wanted to add more of the diamonds, hearts etc.. without the clock face. To do this I added a piece of card under the clock face which I held in place with washi tape. I added the ink to the background in a diagonal from bottom left to top right, followed by some splatters of ink using a paintbrush.

I drew a rectangle using a pink fine liner pen to use as the base of my layout. I then layered some of the pink tissue paper, photos and strips of the patterned papers. I used my sewing machine to add light pink stitching to the strips of paper. When we had the Afternoon tea I created a little menu so I made a tiny version for the layout too. I tucked stickers and embellishments in and around the photos.

To create the detail at the top of the page I ripped a small V shape in white cardstock and then rolled the card back. Adding a piece of patterned paper behind the opening.

The layout was finished off by adding a title using the Simple Stories alphabet stickers, pompom trim and a butterfly and heart perspextives from Bramble Fox.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today. We love to see your creations over in the Lollipop Box Club group on Facebook.
