It has been a year! And it has been a roller coaster of happy memories…
When this post goes up , it is my first year anniversary in my job.
What a year it has been! I had such an awful time prior to this job , that I have totally lost my confidence in myself , in my skills and capabilities.
I wanted to document my first day at work , and as I printed my photograph, I was flooded with emotions.
But don’t worry they are happy tears. I cannot believe that I have found my tribe! I am so proud to be working with such amazing, compassionate and kind people. It really makes a difference!
I don’t do work photos much , but I had 3 photos just showing how relaxed and happy I am at work.
For this journal spread, I am going to use the singing in the rain kit.
After choosing the page in my journal, I cut my photographs and backed them with the yellow polkadot paper from the kit.
For this journal layout, I want to layer papers to create the background.
I love seeing journal pages that with so many layers , and I really wanted to be good at layering too.
So here it goes…
I love the postcard that Lisa has sent with my box and I thought it is fitting to be included in my journal page.
I layered this with a music page on the left hand side of the page.
On the right side of the page , I layered the yellow note paper , blue bag and added a doily from my stash.
I also took two tags from my stash.
I placed the 2 smaller photographs on them and I plan to write my journaling at the back of the tags and then tuck them both on the blue paper bag.
The kit also came with cloud die cuts , I inked them so that they stand out on the page.
I used them to embellish my page along with bits from the cut apart embellishment card, washi sheet and stickers,
So, here is the finished page ready for me to journal on. I just love the colour ! I did help that my page had the colour already.
It was so much fun creating the page..
Creating this page really made me reflect on the past year .
I realised how far I’ve become, and how I bounced back to my old self even if it was a slow progress.
A year on , I can honestly say that I feel better and happier.
And proud to be a part of a team that truly cares for each other and provides that best care for patients,
It also made me reflect on the people who has been there and cheered me on when I was low.
So, here’s to many years of fun filled work memories…
Till next time my dear friends..
Lots of crafty hugs , Sheryll
