Vintage Style Mini Book with Emma Kate

Hey Lollipop friends, I couldn’t wait to receive the ‘Hello Friend’ kit here, I was looking forward to playing with the vintage style papers created in collaboration with Grace from Ms Paper Lover Designs.

I started my mini album with a pre-made 4×4 inch album but you could easily make your own & make it whichever size you want. I coated the chipboard covers with adhesive then covered them with pages from an old book which I found in a charity shop.

I then began to cover & decorate each page of my mini album using the beautiful vintage papers from the kit, machine stitching pockets onto my pages so my tags will have a place to sit. I also used the cute little envelope in the kit as a pocket & created a card for journalling/photo, then with the ‘women who want the vote’ image I punched & stapled a tab onto the card so it can be easily pulled out of the envelope.

To decorate the front cover I layered hessian, a chipboard frame, postcard image from the kit & an old stamp, I then die-cut a couple of butterflies & adhered them to the frame. Next, I tea-stained a couple of doilies adding them to various corners of my pages, in addition, I tied a selection of ribbons to the book binder rings all to add extra decoration & texture to my album.

To finish my album & really give it that vintage feel I used ‘Vintage Photo’ Distress Ink & my blending tool to darken all the edges of my pages, tags & to age my ribbons. I hope this inspires you to create your own mini album, I had so much fun creating mine,
Much Love
Em x
