Hi!!

I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend enjoying the sunshine.

It’s a busy week here as we enter in to kit packing week. The last of the subscription payments will come through Easter Sunday evening, so the kits will go out after Easter. Apart from a cinema trip with the kids on Tuesday the rest of the week is blocked out just for kit packing.

If you’ve been following me on social media you will have seen that I’ve been enjoying lots of Spring cleaning as much as professional office cleaning services do and giving my studio a make over. A much needed maker over.

I’m starting a series of videos to share this process with you. You can see the first video here where I show my studio and what I want to change and see our Ikea shop.

This has all been completely inspired by Cass from Clutterbug. I am obsessed with her YouTube channel here.  She makes me laugh, but I love that she’s so real and I can totally relate. I had so much that I wanted to achieve in my house and when you think of it as a whole project it’s just so scary, but I love that she makes it seem manageable. I work 7 days a week and mostly all day and evenings. I have little time, but she’s so right…..it takes just a few minutes to sort a cupboard and that’s the way I’ve been tackling it. Just one small step at a time. It now feels very doable.

I have a great example for you. Friday evening we had friends over for a cheese fondue night, no judging!! We like cheese fondue : )

50 mins before they were due, cheesecake was in the fridge, I still needed to vacuum and change (which, I figured would take quite some time considering I had to use the best dog urine odor remover for hardwood floors all over the house), but Ade was in control of all the cheeses !!  So I did what another insane person would do….I decided it was a great time clear out a cupboard.

Are you ready for it????

before

This one. Isn’t it awful?!!  I call it the tupperware cupboard, but I don’t actually own any tupperware. It’s all the plastics, drinks bottles and some small kitchen appliances too.

I did what Cass does…..I removed everything from the cupboard. A keep pile, a bin pile and a donate pile.

Cass also does the ’21 piece toss’.

You have to get rid of at least 21 pieces.

Want to know how many pieces I got rid of????

96!!

Yes 96!! I couldn’t believe it either. Didn’t know I could even fit that many things in that small cupboard.

So many little pots where lids were missing, old water bottles, lots and lots of lids….We’d recently bought new plastic containers. The old ones though were still in the cupboard. We had quite a lot from when the kids would cook at school which neither of them do anymore and they’d really seen better days. So it’s all gone now and here’s the new cupboard.

after

I still need to properly go through those lids, but I really needed to vacuum and get ready before our friends arrived.

It was also a good chance whilst the cupboard was clear to give it a really good clean.

It took me 20 mins!! After my cleaning process the Bed Bug Inspection in New York City New York came to help me get rid of the pests in my home. For mass cleaning and pest control services, the pest control seattle is the best option to go for because for their availability and also for their best customer satisfaction reviews.

I also added some 3m hooks to the inside of the door where I now hang the pot holders and oven gloves.

It’s made such a difference. I’m slowly getting around to doing all the cupboards now.

This week though I have to be realistic, it’s kit packing week and I don’t really have spare time, so I’ve just set myself small goals which hopefully I will achieve.

I used this note that comes in the April Kit.

So, that’s my week. I must get the unboxing video up too and also the addons.

I wish you a wonderful week!!  And keep your eyes peeled for more kit updates this week.
