Oh So Sweet – Creative Journaling with Chloé

.

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re well; can you believe we’re already most of the way through June?! I swear this year is disappearing before my eyes. I’m here today with a project using last month’s birthday kit La Patisserie here, as I was too poorly to create in May (for those who might not follow me on social media, I’m expecting my first baby! So I had all the fun of the first trimester to contend with.) I’m still documenting 2020 in my creative journals, so I thought I’d share a spread with you today.

I thought the sweet treats theme of the kit would be perfect for some photos of our Crystal Palace breakfast in Florida, however I’ve already documented the trip in a few places so I didn’t fancy repeating my journaling. Instead, I used lots of embellishments to just make a mini scrapbook layout in my journal!
As always, I layered up papers to create a background, and also used the adorable recipe vellum to back my photos. I’m all about texture and layers, and I think it’s such an effective way of using scraps too… perfect if you’re nearing the end of a kit and want to use every piece!
Sorry those photos are a bit rubbish, for some reason my camera didn’t like the lighting at all! I hope you can get the gist. I created a title spot using the cupcake notepad from the kit as I loved the sprinkle border, and used my brush pens and the “sweet” die cut to form my title. Then it was just a case of trial and error! Fiddling around with all the ephemera and stickers is my favourite part of putting a page together… I just move everything around until I’m happy to adhere it all.
This page actually turned out sooo cute and the colours are stunning; I’m gutted my camera hasn’t picked it up properly. I’ll have to have a play with the settings! As always, if you have any questions, you can always head to my youtube channel or instagram and drop me a message. See you again in a couple of weeks!
