Good morning everyone

This week I have something a little different for me.  I am part of a FB group where we have been challenging each other to try new styles and the first challenge we had was to use more white space.

My white space has been decreasing every time I create a page! I just love the paint and splatters and am very much a more is more person – but I thought that I would give it a go.  I actually used to scrap like this – so it was like going back in time a bit and scrap-lifting past me!

I started off the page, much the same as I usually do with gesso, but this time I just added two patches – where my clusters would be. I used a stencil and some green ink to add a little bit of texture to the page and added a few splatters (I couldn’t go without completely!)

I then created a cluster to go behind my picture with papers and elements from the kit. The little green envelope and tags and all sorts of yummy bits and pieces.  I edged all the bits with green ink and used some pop dots to add dimension.

I then created a second cluster at the bottom right of the page, using more embellishments, stickers and another tag.  To finish off I added some of the flat-back pearls to each cluster.  I really, really enjoyed this kit.  I wasn’t sure that I was going to so much as I am quite the homebody and don’t really go anywhere, but the kit worked well with my Edinburgh picture.  Lisa manages to make the kits work for everyone – no matter what style you have or what you are creating.  I hope you have all enjoyed this layout. I will be back in a few weeks with another creation.
