This month’s Going Places Lollipop Box was ideal for me to use to scrap my recent trip to Sardinia, Italy. I absolutely love the bright blue and green colour scheme that is throughout this kit. These are not usually colours I reach for but love the result and this is why I like the Lollipop Box kits as they push me to use things I may not automatically choose.
I cut large letters from a piece of 12×12 white cardstock to spell the word Sun Shine and then backed them with patterned paper from the kit. I added Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch to the white scalloped line paper to co-ordiate with the rest of the kit. I splattered it with water to remove some of the colour and add texture to the paper.
To co-ordinate with the blue paper I added doodled lines round the ‘SUN’ letters.
So the decoration doesn’t detract from the large title I kept my embellishment quite focussed around one 3×4″ photo matted on the chevron patterned paper. I created clusters of embellishment to the bottom left and top right of the photo using a mixture of stickers, die cuts and the cut apart card from the Going Places kit.
To finish off the layout I added journalling, splatters of blue and green Distress Oxides and some pearls.
