Hey lollipop friends, I’m sharing my first project using the new Here’s the Story kit. It has some beautiful primary colours in this kit and a mix of autumnal motifs.
I used the beautiful speech bubble and leaf paper to create a fishtail banner. The top section is rolled round a wooden skewer then it is ‘hung’ on the page with the blue bakers twine.
Underneath the banner I used Distress Oxides in Candied Apple and Fossilized Amber through the Peartree Cutfiles stencil from the kit to create areas of embellishment.
This kit is full of fabulous little die cut and sticker speech bubbles that are perfect to layer up and create clusters of embellishment. The stickers from Mrs Brimbles also include cute leaves and tiny word stickers.
I love these big bold blue speech marks and they make a great way of focussing the eye to the journalling at the bottom section of my layout.
The banner creates the main section of the layout, then I created three areas of embellishment using the stencilled leaves as the base with die cuts and stickers layered on top with leaf stickers. I finished the layout off with a splatter of orange Distress Ink spray and blue nuvo drops.
