Memory Keeping with Emma Kate

.

Hey Lollipop friends, today I am sharing a pocket page layout in my 6×8 album. The left hand pocket page has four 3×4 pockets, which I filled two with decorative cards, one with my journaling, the other with a photo. The right hand page being a 6×8 pocket page which I filled entirely with a photo.

I created the first decorative 3×4 card using the spotty paper in the kit, I also added extra spots by punching out circles from cardstock which I painted with the ‘Spearmint Smile’ watercolour sample. I then attached the yellow pompom across the top of the card using my Tim Holtz tiny attacher, followed by a Lisa special & drew some black lines around the circles.

My second decorative card was made by using the mustard patterned paper as a base, then using a ‘plus sign’ stencil, modelling paste & nuvo mousse in a similar colour to the watercolour I created a textured pattern across my card. To finish the card I added three phases from the word stickers & the two little hearts above & below that.

To fill the last two 3×4 pockets I cut my photo to size & used the grid patterned paper to write my journaling on. Next I wanted to add the mint & mustard colour to my full page photo to create balance so I made a mini cluster in the right hand bottom corner using ephemera from the kit & the circles that I had punched earlier.

I’m really enjoying mixing up the format that I work in lately, from 6×8, to travellers notebook, to 12×12, to junk journal, the list is endless! Do you document your memories in different sizes? Or prefer to stick to one style? I would love to know!

Much Love
