What’s a Life Crafted Album? – with Emma Kate

.

Hey Lollipop friends, today I am here to share a layout in my Life Crafted Album, it’s size is very similar to a Travellers Notebook but with the added bonus of working in pocket pages if you so choose. The TN format is a great size to work with, Lisa has lots of examples on the Lollipop Blog & her YouTube channels & has notebooks available in the Lollipop Box Club Shop.

For my right hand page I began with some repeat stamping using the ‘Smile’ stamp from the kit, I chose an ink slightly darker in colour than my background paper to create a tone on tone effect. I then layered my photo on numerous pattern papers, a sheet from the notepad, plus I tucked in one of the tickets from the kit.

On my left hand page I cut strips of patterned paper in varying lengths & thicknesses then machine stitched through the centre of each strip to add texture to my page. I then used the word phrase & arrow stickers to decorate my strips, I like how the arrows direct your eyes towards the main subject, the photo.

I used the ‘Smile’ die cut as my title which I popped up on foam pads, along with the ‘This’ word sticker. I then typed out my journalling using my vintage typewriter & cut it into strips & placed them under my photo.

To finish, I added the cute little camera from the ephemera pack & spattering of Nuvo drops in coordinating colours. This kind of layout is a great way to use up all those off-cuts of pattern paper you are left with but never can part with 😊

Much Love
