Hi there Lollipop Friends!

My apologies for presenting an unfinished project today! Sometimes despite your best efforts you can’t help it when things go wrong. I’m sure you’ve all experienced that feeling of utter frustration !

I had a lovely holiday in Scotland earlier this month, the first time I’d had a proper holiday north of the border! I’d had weekends in Edinburgh and Glasgow but this time we stayed in a wonderful apartment in a little fishing village in the East Neuk region looking out over the harbour. It was idyllic and I wanted to document the week in one of my journals. All was going well until I went to print out my photos….ink had run out! New cartridges ordered…new cartridges arrived and installed, photos printed patchy! All the usual tests, printheads cleaned etc etc…. Nothing worked! So no photos and therefore an unfinished project, forgive me!

I love the ‘Here Comes The Sun’ kit, the gorgeous papers, stickers, cut aparts, everything about it! My double page spread will be filled with photos as soon as I can get decent prints. I started by covering one side of my page in the chevron paper and decided to add a pocket using the dotty paper. I tend to forget about my border punches so I dug one out and used it to create the border and added faux stitching. I love the postcard included in the kit and fussy cut the ‘here comes the fun’ as I knew it was the perfect sentiment for documenting my holiday! I added paper bag paper, tissue, an ephemera piece some threads and a little heart sticker.

I used the rain drop paper to make a large tag and added a tuck spot using the same spotted paper. I intend to mount small photos on the blue card I’ve prepared. The ribbons are all from the recent LBC trimmings swap.

On the opposite page I used another piece of the chevron paper for continuity and a piece of the spotty paper both of which I’ve edged with faux stitching. I added a little cluster on the top left corner and a piece of the border punched paper to carry the theme across the page.

I’m going to have fun adding photos and embellishing the pages with pieces of the kit ephemera, I might add a flip out page as well.

Once my pages are complete I’ll pop them on the Lollipop FB Group pages so you can see.

Until then, enjoy your kits and I look forward to seeing how you use them.

Love Philippa
