This month we are very excited to be collaborating with the awesomeness that is ‘Ip Dip Design’.
I first found Laura on Instagram. Her feed is so colourful and cheerful and instantly caught me eye.
I hope you will love Laura’s happy ‘Yay’ postcards in your August Kit.
Here’s a little bit about Laura and her fun company…
Hi everyone! I’m Laura – owner, doodler and designer over at ‘Ip Dip Design’. I’m a colour-loving Graphic Designer and currently run my small business single-handedly alongside a full time job. I am currently based in Surrey and like to design work that makes people happy!
I opened my Etsy store on my birthday back in April 2016. In the beginning, I just wanted to ‘test the water’ and see if anyone actually liked my work. The first target I set myself was to see if I could make 10 sales by the end of the year. I managed to reach that target by the end of that very same month, and since then Ip Dip Design has grown and grown! Unlimited Graphic Design Services and options were developed. I have been overwhelmed by the response that I have received, and have been able to branch out into other products such as postcards, stickers and enamel pins.
People often ask me about the origins of the ‘Ip Dip Design’ name. It is inspired by the classic rhyme ‘Ip Dip Sky Blue’, and my logo incorporates two of my favourite things – clouds (I’ve always been fascinated by them) and the colour blue!
I am lucky enough to have a fantastic customer base, and seeing photos of my designs in their new homes fills me with joy – whether it be a few postcards on someone’s pin board, or a framed print in their hallway. I take great care in packing and presenting my products as I want to bring a smile to each customer’s face. I like to think that designing and adding a few extras makes the happy mail that I send out that little bit more special.
Social media channels like Instagram have allowed me to connect with my customers and other creatives which has been fantastic. It has allowed me to collaborate with some of my favourite makers, and I feel like a real part of the creative community now which is awesome. Everyone has been so supportive and lovely.
