Summer Project Life with Chloe

Hi everyone!

Chloé here, creating with the Endless Summer kit here. I can’t quite believe we’re nearly at the end of August already? It’s my birthday on the 31st, and it’s flown by so quickly! My fiancé and I also got married this month in a little micro ceremony, and I’m sharing our minimoon with you in my project life album today. With everything the way it is as the moment, we chose to escape to my parents’ coastal caravan for a long weekend, where we could keep our distance from other people, but still enjoy the beach and the warm weather!

I tried to minimise my phone time during the weekend, so I only had a few photos to document! I knew I wanted some filler cards and journaling spots though, so I split the photos into a 6×8 insert, and one side of a 12×12 pocket page. I trimmed down one of the pages from the cute sunburst notepad to make a journaling spot, and used some of the Mrs Brimbles stickers to embellish it, along with a date stamp. I also loved how the round stickers looked as more journal spots/places for a date stamp, so I repeated that throughout the layout.
The Endless Summer postcard was so beautiful that I wanted to include that too, so I trimmed it down and backed it on one of the papers from the kit. To create a fun filler card on the second page, I wrapped the sequin trim around the Hello Sunshine tag, swapped out the tag’s original string for some of the yellow twine, and cut a 3×4 card from the waves paper. I absolutely love how it turned out!

The 12×12 pocket page is very similar; I couldn’t get a good photo of the whole thing, but essentially I used the same embellishments to keep the pages cohesive. The stickers from the kit were perfect for documenting a sunny weekend away, and I supplemented them with various enamel dots from my own stash. I loved the notepaper journaling spot so much that I created another one for the 12×12 page, again embellishing with a date stamp and stickers from the kit.

The tab embellishments came in very useful also. The photo of my husband with our dog Archie is actually double sided, so instead of securing it to the backing card I used the ‘lazy days’ tab so that it can be easily pulled from the pocket, and the photo on the back can be seen. This is a technique that I often use in my project life albums, if I have too many photos for a layout for example.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a little sneak of our minimoon! I’ll be back soon with more projects using Lisa’s kits, but to see more of my crafting in the meantime, feel free to follow me on youtube or instagram!
